About us

This site is created by two comics and original arts lovers with the purpose of sharing our collection with others and offering the chance of trading and buying some original arts. The collection will grow up, as the selling section. Trading is always welcome and we will consider it also for the original arts that aren't exclusively in the Art for Sale section.

What's an Original Art?

It's a creation that's three or four times bigger than the page printed in a comic. Every art is a page of the comic book you usually read and can be painted on one single paper or with several sections glued together (not usually). There are many and many styles that can be usued on several materials. Some use ink and pencil, others create a collage. It's always a single piece, created after many hours (sometime days) of hard work and can't be duplicated as a real paint.

Value and cost

The real value of an original art can change regarding several reasons. Starting obviously from the author or the comic serie's popularity or the measures of the art and the style. Conservation is really a matter that influences the value as any scratches or imperfection in the page can decrease its cost. Another reason is the starring character presence. An original art taken from the comic serie Spider Man that has the webcrawler painted in will surely cost more than another one from the same comic that doesn't have it.
