Garrett absolute star in this page where the use of airbrush for the backgrounds is opposing the use of several painting techniques. Ken Wind's face is a stat in both panels. Awesome the graphic style of Garrett's blue jacket.

Daredevil Love and War pag. 24

Measures 12 x 16 inches

Mixed media on paper board

From the legendary graphic novel "Daredevil Love and War" written by Frank Miller and incredibly painted by Bill Sienkiewicz, this page has been realised with various technics such as airbrush, pencils and water coloros. The hyper excited use of colors really matches the alienating atmosphere of the city. Another great connection between modern art and comics.

Daredevil Love and War pag. 34

Measures 12 x 16 inches

Mixed media on paper board

From Sienkiewicz's genius another marvelous page taken from "Daredevil Love and War" with a structure that's near the manifesto style. Here you can breath the melancony of the scene thanks to a splendid use of dusk tones. Realised with acrylic and water colors, two close-up are made with high definition color stats on glossy paper.

Elektra Assassin n. 3 pag. 28

Measures: 17,3 x 11,6 inches

Mixed media on paper board

Part of the revolutionary shift of comic book visual vocabulary, Bill Sienkiewicz energized the industry with risk taking uses of modern art imagery applied to the sequential arts format. This mixed media piece has a chaotic page design with three painted panels divided by two black and white sections of stats. The overall look of this page shattered convention and exposed museum gallery quality artwork to a comics audience. It challenged the audience the way things were done. Most importantly though the art still upheld the Marvel tradition by never talking down to the audience. It brought a new respectability to comics and what potential promises the artform held. Even with such a bold move, Sienkiewicz puts in very minute details such as the smoke rings floating and the muted backgrounds. Working from the mature themed Frank Miller script, Sienkiewicz's paintings helped revolutionize what comics would become today and tomorrow
